What do IPL and BBL mean?
Broad Band Light (BBL™), Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and photofacial are three terms for flashlamp treatment (light energy of many wavelengths). Like lasers, different devices offer a wide range of power outputs. BBL™ is a trademarked term for IPL using Sciton’s xenon dual flash lamp technology. It has twice the energy output of most IPL, and advanced cooling technology making it the industry gold standard.
How does IPL photorejuvenation work?
The light energy delivered by IPL photorejuvenation will flash heat the upper layers of your skin. The heat absorbed by the targeted areas will stimulate skin cells to generate new collagen increasing skin firmness, it will cauterize capillaries to reduce excess redness and it will break up pigment to even out complexion and remove brown spots.
BBL™ will improve skin quality, even out the complexion and promote skin cell turnover resulting in younger, healthier skin. Treatment will be tailored to your skin type and specific skin issues. Any area of your body can be treated. Commonly treated areas include the face, neck, back of the hands, chest, and shoulders.
Forever Young BBL™ is a specific treatment designed to optimize the anti-aging effects of BBL™ and is a highly popular preventive treatment to keep you looking young.
