DermapenTM Microneedling

What is microneedling?

Microneedling, also called Collagen Induction Therapy, is used to improve the skin’s texture and tone, reduce surface scarring and minimize the appearance of fine wrinkles. Tiny surgical steel needles are used to create micro channels (microscopic holes) in the skin.

How does the DermapenTM work?

DermapenTM is a small, hand-held device that delivers up to 1,300 micro-punctures per second, promoting new collagen growth and noticeable improvements in the skin’s appearance.

This microneedling treatment stimulates your skin’s natural ability to heal itself and, in the process, produces collagen and elastin. This repair process begins immediately and results in a healthier dermis and minimized wrinkles or scars. At ArtMed, we use DermaPenTM for its predictable performance and safety profile.

The added benefit of micro needling is that these superficial micro-channels facilitate the absorption of topically applied products such as hyaluraonic acid, Vitamin C serums, or platelet rich plasma (PRP) during and immediately post-treatment. We’ll recommend a topical agent which optimizes your results.
