Our medical experts are qualified to review the appearance of sun damage and irregular spots and advise whether further investigation would be recommended. ArtMed regularly works in cooperation with the Skin Cancer Screening Clinic here in Guelph to provide coordinated care.
Do you have a mole, skin tag, cyst or skin lesion you’d like to have removed?
Our Nurse Practitioner has advanced training and certification (RNFA) in surgical procedures and a special interest in small surgical including removal of benign lesions.
On this page you can upload a picture of your lesion and ArtMed’s NP will let you know if it can be removed and will provide a free, provisional quote as to what it might cost.
If you are concerned about your lesion – it’s new, changing, itchy, painful, unusual colour or bleeds and you’re unsure whether it should be screened for skin cancer, please visit the links below which provide further information and can help you decide if it’s a lesion of concern.
If your lesion is concerning, please consider booking an exam at the Skin Cancer Screening Clinic in Guelph. There is a modest fee, but you do not require a referral from a physician to book yourself in for the screening. The clinic can assess a few lesions or provide a full body screening. If something abnormal is found all care associated with that is covered by OHIP. We recommend adding yourself to the wait list for quicker access or phoning the clinic (226-780-5285).
Getting a FREE quote for removal from ArtMed’s Nurse Practitioner
If your lesion is not concerning or it’s been screened and cleared at the Skin Cancer Screening Clinic, please follow the directions here to determine if it can be removed and to obtain a provisional quote for this service:
Provide any relevant history regarding your lesion in the message box of this form (size, location, how long you’ve had it, etc.)
Upload photos of your lesion to our secure portal (1. photo further away, 2. closeup, 3. from the side if possible)
Our NP will review your query and provide a response via our administrative team. Look for an email from info@artmed.ca.
